Need-Based Financial Aid and Merit Scholarships VES recognizes that the choice for a private school education requires a tremendous commitment on the part of both the family and the institution. In an effort to assist families with the cost associated with this choice, Virginia Episcopal School provides an extensive financial aid program, which includes need-based and merit-based grants. For the 2008-2009 school year, VES awarded over $1,000,000 to approximately 30 percent of the student body. Need-Based Grants Students who wish to be considered for need-based financial aid at VES must apply for admission and be accepted. Parents must complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) administered by the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). Parents' Financial Statements can be submitted on-line through SSS or in paper form. Financial aid application packets including a Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) will be mailed to interested families beginning in November of each year.
