VES: How Do I Apply?

To apply for admission to VES, you may apply online, download our application (PDF) online, submit our information request form to receive an information packet or call the Admissions Office at 434.385.3607.

Once you receive the packet, complete and return the application along with your $50 application fee ($150 for international students) and the Student Questionnaire. The Admissions Committee will begin reviewing completed applications on February 1, with the first round of decisions sent out on March 10. Rolling admissions will continue throughout the spring until enrollment is complete.

Arrange to have all transcripts and standardized test scores forwarded to VES from your current school. Students applying for 9th or 10th grade, please take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), which is required for admission to VES. The school code is 7972. Students applying for grade 11 or 12 should submit a PSAT, SAT or ACT score instead of the SSAT.

International students should submit a SLEP or TOEFL score with their completed application. Please distribute the English and math evaluation forms to your teachers, with instructions to them to return the forms directly to VES.

Come and visit VES and experience it firsthand! During your stay, you will have a chance to sit in on some classes, meet students and teachers, talk to coaches and take a tour of the campus. You will even have an opportunity to sit down one on one with an admissions counselor and discuss any questions or concerns you might have.
